Grant Guidelines: Learn more about the Foundation’s philosophy, values, priorities, grantseeker eligibility and other important information. Click here.
Letter of Interest: Your Letter of Interest is your most important communication with our Foundation. We receive 40-70 letters each quarter, roughly 20 of which are advanced to the full application phase. Your letter must:- Be no more than two pages;
- Detail the community need you plan to address;
- Describe the programs or activities you will undertake;
- Include the overall project budget and the amount of funding you intend to request;
- Provide complete contact information.
- Deadlines: Letters must be received by 5:00 p.m. March 1, June 1, September 1 or December 1. If a deadline occurs on a non-business day, materials must be received by 5:00 p.m. the last business day prior to the deadline. Applicants will receive a response and, if appropriate, information about next steps within 6-8 weeks of the deadline.
Grant Application: This is the second phase in our application process. Only a limited number of organizations that submit a letter of interest are invited to participate in this phase. To avoid wasted effort, please do not submit a full application without our invitation. Click here for detailed instructions.
Grant Follow-Up Reports: All organizations receiving more than $2,500 must file a follow-up report. While we are very interested to know your results, we prefer that reporting not take undue time away from mission-related activities. Please submit reports according to the guidelines below:
- Reports are due one year after receiving the award;
- Must be submitted via email to lcurry@tarrantfoundation.org;
- Must be no longer than 400 words;
- The first half of your report should be subjective narrative (describe how you feel things went), and the second half should contain the objective data and/or statistics that best illustrate your results.
